New security protocols have been implemented to comply with the latest standards which are required when we communicate with cloud services.  Unfortunately, Windows 7 cannot support these as all support and updates for Windows 7 ended in January 2020.

To enable our customers that may have Aurelian running on an old Windows 7 PC, we implemented this so the required components are only used where required – Stripe card processing and Aurelian+.

This means existing Windows 7 customers can continue to use Aurelian but will not be able to use Aurelian+ or Stripe interfaces. 

 Windows 10 and upwards users will have the enhanced protection, though it will be invisible.

Modifications were made to identify the SiteMinder GDS channels in online bookings.  These will now appear as “SiteMinder GDS - AmadeusA1” and “SiteMinder GDS – SabreAA” etc as the booking channels.  

This enables reports such as Reservation Analysis (selecting Websites) to identify the volume of bookings per GDS channel.

Using the Allocate option in Agents, you can also use this new identifier to automatically assign the appropriate agent to the booking.

A couple of customers reported that Aurelian would close when entering reservation or guest requests/comments.  This was found to be PC specific.

Modifications have been implemented to  address this.

When a reservation is opened, it is automatically synchronised with the cloud to ensure that the contents are fully up to the second.  However this check wasn’t performed when right clicking on a reservation in the Reservation Calendar, and then selecting Print.

Now right clicking on a reservation in the Reservation Calendar performs the same resync to ensure any printed documents are fully up to date.
