Your Aurelian app connects to the cloud to synchronise and store data.  It's designed to keep running during loss of internet and to ensure everything is synchronised when the internet connection is restored.

Now a message on the bottom right of your monitor will pop up when the internet connection is lost or connection to the cloud database is blocked.  This can happen after firewall settings are updated, for example.

This message will continue to display every 10 seconds until the problem is resolved.  Once the connection is restored, any changes to Aurelian will be synchronised to the cloud.  Please note: during this time do not stop the PC or Aurelian service because this will mean any changes waiting to be uploaded will not be uploaded.  If shutting down does occur, simply opening and saving the reservations will ensure they are synced to the cloud.

Previously the Daily Income Summary Report only reported on data created after migrating to Aurelian because it uses new fields only available in Aurelian reservations.  This has been modified to now also include data from Callista Hospitality migrations.

In our never-ending quest to create a better and more enjoyable experience for our customers, we've implemented a number of changes to enhance Aurelian background services (the stuff you don't see).  These changes include:

• Warning when connection to the cloud is lost (described in New Features above)

• Enhancements to the PC app to ensure it continues to operate without pause during an internet outage

• Enhancements to recover from Windows Update interruption.  This only occurs randomly and only on very few installations

On occasion, Aurelian wouldn't open after a Windows update or some other event that caused the PC to shut down suddenly. Even though this wasn’t a common problem, it was a nuisance.  We have implemented a change to prevent this from happening.

We found an issue with rate plans when a new property was added to the Aurelian app which was already managing multi-site-properties.  This resulted in all rate plans being assigned to the new property.

This has been corrected.
