Enhancements to groupsList Item 2
A major review of groups has been carried out implementing suggestions by properties that have large groups. Features are:
- change the arrival date of all members in a group with a click in Group Details
- edit the number of nights, adults, children custom rates from Group Details without having to open each reservation. Balances are automatically adjusted on each reservation.
- a warning will be displayed if you attempt to change the number of nights below the min nights set in the rate plan.
- edit guest names in group details to create new guests

Companies in Reservations
Everyone liked the May update with the feature to press Enter to add a new guest and requested a similar feature on Companies. So now in a reservation you can create a new company quickly if its not found in just the same way as guests. You can also create a new company from the pop-up Company List.
Thanks to all those who gave feedback on the guest enhancement, we appreciated this.

Sorting group invoices
Sometimes it's convenient to have the list of transactions on group invoices listed by room number, other times by date/time.
You can now select the order required when you go to print or email invoices - by room number or by date/time. This is found at the bottom left of the Print/Email document window.

Default country for guests
Lets face it, the majority of guests these days are locals. So we have created a Default Country in System Settings where you can assign a country and any new guests will automatically be assigned to that country. Of course, you can change the country for those rare international guests.
To set up, go to Supervisor, System Settings and click System Defaults. Default country for new guests is at the bottom of the list of settings. Click Edit to change and after selecting your country, click Save.
Note that Companies and Agents will also use this default setting,

Company search in the Reservation calendar.
The Search function at the top of the Reservation Calendar now has a Company option. This allows you to search and list reservations that are assigned to a company. This works the same as when you search for guest name or email address etc.

Fixes to July 27 update
After a major internal update to the Reservation window to implement a standardised method of entering new data in the July 27 release, a number of issues were reported and fixed. These are:
- Agents couldn't be selected in a reservation. Fixed 29 July.
- Guest details and comments weren't being updated in the Guest table after they were updated in a reservation. Fixed 29 July.
- The Room Rate in a reservation wouldn't change when the Guest Type was changed. This was a display issue only as the accommodation transaction would change to the correct rate. Fixed 29 July.
- When a company is selected in a reservation the list of guests is automatically filtered by that company. This was missing in the 27 July update and reinstated in 29 July update.
- The rates for additional guests weren't being added on to new reservations as the number of adults and children were increased. This was resolved and released 30 July.

Opening a reservation assigned to a hidden room would cause Aurelian to close
If a reservation is assigned to a room that is marked as hidden in the reservation calendar, when this reservation was opened from the Reservation List, the user interface would close.
This has been resolved.

Room Number in Reservation History
Previously the Reservation History and Audit logs recorded the room description when moving a reservation between rooms. If a property didn't have room descriptions this would record a blank so it was difficult to track changes.
This has been changed to now record the room number whenever a reservation is moved between rooms.

Reservation states and channel manager
A Reservation State could be deleted even if it was assigned a a default in the channel manager settings. Deleting a Reservation State now checks if the state is assigned in the channel manager interface, and if so will display a message and stop the removal of the state.
Note the check also applies to any reservation that use the state and will block a deletion.

Adding or changing custom rates
In a previous release the accommodation transactions would not apply the new custom rate until the reservation was saved.
This has been corrected and new or changed custom rates are immediately applied to accommodation transactions.

Updating credit card details
If credit card details were updated in the guest details window, the card would not be updated in the reservation. Now when a guest is updated and returns to the reservation, the card details in the reservation are updated.

On-line bookings and UK properties
A change was made to both STAAH and SiteMinder interfaces to correct a problem that could see an on-line booking posted to a booked room when there were vacant rooms available. This only impacted UK properties.

This has been added to the list of Report CSV extracts. Country codes have been included in this CSV now.

Audit Logs & BranchesList Item 2
Audit logs now correctly records changes against each branch. Previously these were all assigned to the Default branch.

CIRIS adjusted to use default times per branch
On-line bookings would use the default arrival/departure times from the Default branch instead of the current branch. This has been corrected to use the correct branch defaults.

Full implementation of new process in Reservations
After the May update introducing a faster method to enter new guests, an overhaul of the Reservation panel was done to standardise all components and ensure any updates in guest and company windows are updated on the reservation.
New components include reservation status, reservation type, package, rate plan and so on.

Importing V3 reservations
The V3 import wouldn't read the correct Departure times. This has been corrected.

Group reservation refresh/repair
While we have fixed the cause of groups having issues, there may be some existing groups that need refreshing with the correct rooms/reservations.
On the list of rooms panel in Group Details, right click to open a small option to refresh the group. This will ensure reservations that should be assigned are correctly linked to the group.

Invoice number repair
An enhancement to repair the invoice number was implemented to recitify what appeared to be a missing invoice number of a reservation. This is done by clicking the alert icon by the invoice number field.
