The Aurelian weather widget links to weather stations worldwide and now you can select the weather station nearest to your property.

A new feature in Systems Settings enables you to create a list of weather stations, say for your property location and also areas of interest to your guests.

When you cancel a reservation that is the master account on a group, you're now prompted to select another reservation to be the group master.  The group master account will then be transferred to the selected reservation along with all the transactions on the group master.  

If a reservation belonging to a group is cancelled, this reservation can now be changed back to confirmed or whatever is required and it will immediately join the group and appear on the group master invoice.

An entire group can now be changed from cancelled to any other state e.g. confirmed, with a simple click.  This is done by finding the group in Reservation List, right clicking a reservation in that group and selecting Group Details.  This opens the Group Details window so that you can make bulk changes to the group such as changing the state to confirmed.

PLEASE NOTE:  Changing cancelled reservations or groups will only work for reservations/groups that were cancelled AFTER this update was released.  It will not work for any existing cancelled group reservations because the group was previously detached from the reservation.  You can see if this will work by looking at the Reservation List – if the group column is blank then this was cancelled prior to this update.

The Reservation State column has been moved to the left and is now coloured the same as the Reservation calendar.  This makes it easier to see cancellations and other reservation states.

When a group or member of a group reservation is cancelled, the group name is still listed in the Reservation List making it easier to identify cancelled reservations for a group.

Right clicking a reservation that's part of a group now provides the option to open the Group Details window.  By opening this, you can now change a group’s status e.g. change from cancelled to confirmed.  This will change all reservations assigned to that group.

The reservation list has been updated to improve performance making it easier to move around in this.

Previously calculating the room rate would only consider the number of adults on a reservation when calculating the basic room rate and add any children on as extra. Eg in a room where the rate is for 2 guests, if one adult and one child was booked it would add on the child as an extra.

This has been redesigned so both adults and children are used in the guest count, and additional rates are only added after the number of adults plus children exceed the number of guests in the base rate.  

e.g. For a room with a base rate of 2 guests:

1 adult only = base rate

2 adults only = base rate

3 adults = base rate + 1 adult rate

1 adult + 1 child = base rate

1 adult + 2 children = base rate + 1 child rate

2 adults + 2 children = base rate + 2 child rates

Clicking on the reservation calendar now displays information in the status row along the bottom of the Aurelian window.  

• If there is no reservation, this will contain the selected room and date 

• If there is a reservation, it will display the guest name, room, arrival and departure dates

This is simply to assist navigating a busy reservation calendar.
